About Goose Down Ranch
The Goose Down Ranch is under new ownership, however we ares till offering the same great service. Most people want to be out of town when they come to visit Montana, Big Sky Country, and we offer clean, comfortable cabins at affordable rates. We hope to make many good friends who return each year to call our places their “home away from home”.
Our Location
Goose Down Ranch is located 5 miles from Dillon Montana, 1.5 hours from Bozeman, 2 hours from Idaho Falls, ID, 3 hours from Missoula, MT and Jackson Hole, WY, and 1 hour from Butte, Virginia City and Ennis, MT.

Goose Down Ranch is only 2 hours away from the one-of-a-kind experience that is Yellowstone National Park. Along the way, you can stop and visit the historic ghost town of Virginia City. If you don't feel like going that far, go the opposite direction and head to unique Crystal Park where you can dig for your own crystals. Along the way, stop and experience the famous ghost town of Bannack, Montana's original territorial capital.
The Beaverhead and Big Hole Rivers will fulfill your desire to catch some amazing Montana trout. The fishing in the valley is unparalleled and when you look at the natural beauty around you as you're reeling in a nice big brown you'll wonder why you need to go home.
